Ascent to Malghet Aut

The route reaches the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena ski area, with its spectacular view of the Brenta Dolomites.

Easy snowshoeing that develops along marked paths and marked by special signs showing a snowshoe. This itinerary crosses the snow-covered pastures of Malga di Dimaro and reaches Malghet Aut, the arrival point of the cable cars that from Folgarida reach the Folgarida Marilleva ski area, within the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena ski area. At Malghet Aut there are several refuges and restaurants, so the route is ideal if you are looking for an alternative to skiing but would like to join your skiing friends or relatives for a lunch or a snack/aperitif break together with a spectacular view of the Dolomites of Brenta.

Malghet Aut Folgarida and return to the starting point

Direction to follow

From the town of Folgarida continue on the SS 239 in the direction of Madonna di Campiglio. After about 3 kilometers from Belvedere di Folgarida, at the crossroads leading to Malga di Dimaro, you will find an area clear of snow on your right, where you can park your car. Continue on foot along the forest road, until Dimaro mountain hut (closed in winter), once you reach it, take a short break to admire the spectacular view of the mountains Brenta Dolomites, with Sasso Rosso which stands out in this postcard view
From the mountain hut the itinerary continues into the woods and, through some hairpin bends, reaches the ski area Folgarida Marilleva, inside the Campiglio ski area Brenta Dolomites Val di Sole Val Rendena, precisely the Malghet Aut area, a crossroads for skiers who reach the slopes with the cable cars that leave from Folgarida and Folgarida Belvedere. Precisely due to the massive presence of skiers, we invite you to be very careful. At Malghet Aut you can plan a stop in the local restaurants and refuges: lunch with a view of the Dolomites is guaranteed!

The return is from the same route, if you left your car in the car park along the SS239 for Madonna di Campiglio. The alternative is to take the lifts that take you to Folgarida.
If you prefer, you can do the itinerary in the opposite direction, that is, reaching Malghet Aut with the implants and follow the route backwards to Malga di Dimaro and down to the state road for Madonna di Campiglio. We suggest this option if someone can come and pick you up at the car park, in fact we advise against walking along the SS 239 to Folgarida.

Parking

In the car park on the right (coming from Folgarida), at the entrance to the forest road (not passable in case of snow) that leads to the Malga di Dimaro.
