The Adamello Brenta Natural Park
The environment is extremely varied, ranging from around 400 meters above sea level to 3500 meters at Cima Presanella; for this reason, woods, pastures, shrublands, prairies, rocky environments and glaciers alternate. Rich in water, the Park is affected by the presence of over 50 lakes and the Adamello glacier, one of the largest in Europe. The fauna component is among the richest in the Alpine arc, including all mountain species, including the brown bear and the ibex.
The two mountain massifs that identify the Park Natural Adamello Brenta they observe each other from a distance and become natural lookouts for each other: while one lights up at dawn, the other warms up in the rays of sunset. On the western side the river gently stretches out Adamello-Presanella granite massif with its grandiose glaciers from which rushing torrents, scenic waterfalls and enchanting lakes come to life.
On the eastern side, a spectacular succession of spiers, towers and colossal overhanging walls gives shape to the famous Brenta Dolomites group, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
